Connie, Jaime and me at Mao(this time, Wei was behind us, lol.). All of us were totally drunk, stoned. i was dragged by jaime to take pic with them..- glad we looked ok there. 2 days ago, i took a look into the mirror in the morning, surprisingly found out my pupils were dilated..thought i was tired or somthing...then i realized that's a symptom of high stress...i didnt feel so until last night didnt fall asleep all night.. tough day today...or say yesterday, but thanks to my friends' help esp. Lucia my babe. got an email from annie today telling about her thanksgiving feast treat. Yes Ashley will still stay positive and gorgeous for my goal. god loves me! alright keep fighting babe, i'll keep fighting! background musik: Harry Nilsson's <Coconut>. 2008-11-18 no sleep at night
those pics were taken at John digweed's party last friday, its been so long that i havent danced like that. shook my ass off and had complicated feelings..thats it for the weekend. this week and next week, i have some important things to handle. its getting really cold in shanghai, trying to leave shanghai for southern china, but i cant, at least not in next 3 weeks. god loves us, everyone. with good spirits! i love my life, thank everyone in my life! background music: Silicon Soul's <Who Needs Sleep Tonight>. 2008-11-11 i love my life!!
i know i actually should just go to sleep its 330 in the morning, and i need to go to school for sure tomorrow - yes, sorry i've been doing poorly en mi estudiante. talked with kim on the phone today, and she suggested i should just reward myself after going to school. coz its a very good way to put me back on the right track. kim's leaving, all of a sudden. pero le entiendo. and at same time, tmr, no today, my finnish gal anna's coming to visit me. my life is so wonderful, people go and come to me, and im the one enjoy watching them, haha. california prop. 8 (which against gay marriage) passed, and it is really a bad thing - look, democracy USA esp. now you've got this super Man obama, do sth now. people should get married freely and without anyone's permission. my mom's bday was yesterday, and i love her. yes, ¡Feliz compleaños! mi mama periciosa. watched many movies incl. some from pedro almodovar's, will write about it later - or maybe not, coz this week is gonna be super super busy, ha i luv it! background music: Nina Kinert's <Pets & Friends>. 2008-10-21 get down to business
saw a guy riding a vespa in shanghai - surprised but later started feeling sorry for that european guy coz he might trust this city too much. didnt get any hangover, but my body was all sore because of last saturday's gym night and those long walks in circuit yesterday. went get a body check done this morning - muy bien. listened to a lot of electronic music tonight, even right now... cant wait for the halloween, thinking to buy some costume and accessory. miss my friends in macau tengo muchas cosas que hacer, pero prefiero descansar que estudiar a la noche. Tengo que repasar las lecciónes y los ejercicios, pero no lo quiero. david me dijo la semana pasada: estas mejorando con este idioma, que bien! el no sabe la verdad: estoy perezosa, salté unas clases a veces para ver las perículas de España en casa. ya es casi la medianoche, entonces es hora de ir a dormir. just tried to write some crappy spanish above before i'm going to slp now. so so so dead tired. next time will even read some spanish here...ha :p background music: Vampire Weekend's <Ottoman>. 2008-10-20 noches alegres, mañanas tristes
another heavy week just passed away, with lots of things packed up. so first some pics above, first one was taken when i got up around 1pm and suddenly amazed by my own kitchen, the light was like the sunshine exactly like my bathroom in LA. i was surprised as a happy rabbit bumping and hopping in my house, even took my mom to see it - reason coz my building was under redecorating construction so people were painting the floor outdoor and they put a 200W bulb outside our kitchen window - that afternoon, i enjoyed it for a half hour, missed everything about LA. also same afternoon, Jocelyn and Sanchez emailed me, reminded me a whole lot of frozen yogurt and especially my favorite thrifty's pecan praline! damn i couldn't find this flavor in shanghai..such a shame. anyhow i replied emails incl some emails i was supposed to reply a week ago...yah, my david missed me - that day was fantastic for me! actually i couldn't recall which day it was, coz my biological clock is kinda out of control now. went to library before i was planning to go to a gallery's launch party on friday. but got tired when i was with maria, we talked into a lot of things, hope she got better luck. so i called it off, didnt go anywhere just headed home like what i did on wednesday and thursday night. there were some parties on weds and friday's night, but i was just too tired for some reason i didnt even know, so rather just stayed at home watching movies and tvs. then saturday night, muse(full of college gals), velvet and got invited by jaime to f1 next day so i finished around 4am(usually after 5). when i got up at 10 still had my drunky face with puffy eyes, but since i've never been to shanghai internation circuit its sorta big day. we had brunch and founds out we missed the shuttle bus, then took a taxi rushing to jiading district where the F1 was hitting up. so on the 1hr and almost a half time, i learned some word like "pringado" which means loser, but pronouced better without "d". also took a pic - thats the second pic above, clearly we were on a taxi under the great sun - god, i luv shanghai! the weather is perfecto! so later we are really late, even if there were more people got stuck after our taxi. we walked a long way from section K to our section C, what a huge circuit! we got the seat, bought the earplugs, started enjoying the show. - im a completely f1 idiot that i dont know anything about it, but go there was just for an experience. took many pics and a short video, got home very tired but its worthy - funny thing is, we saw toni there too! toni said:"you're everywhere." haa, always coincidence between me and toni, destiny, no? jaime told me there's a saying in spain: Noches alegres, mañanas tristes. obviously it described my weekends, coz i got home at 430am and came out for a heavy day making me very sad..well, i was having a lot of fun with lucas, german saturday night, and totally enjoyed the f1 grand prix with jaime. love my spanish friends, we are the best! (besides, german and lucas are gonna be the best icebreaker group in shanghai. lol.) big news, after i got back from l.a. i never got back to gym for once, but i did it on saturday night! finally! i felt energetic and younger, haha! lucia got back from guangzhou, as planned we should go to newly opened Marks and Spencers next week. oh yeah! coz i've made up my list: cheese and onion crisps, pork pies and fish chips, strawberry waffles...gotta go check it out before they got sold out. hope not.. Ok, a little bit about tv - nothing impressed me, even <office>'s getting less funnier. and i dont like the final result of <project runway>..i prefer korto and kenley, def not this nerdy leanne. anyway on tv this week, was suck. movie on the other hand, it was pretty great - <remake> directed by Roger Gual, a venezuelan movie <Maroa> directed by Solveig hoogesteijn, and finally a great realistic classic 80s movie <los santos inocentes> directed by Mario Camus. All great realistic movies, sociologically giving the stories with lives and fully of meanings. So, facing a new week tmr, i aint so ready, how about you guys? couldnt blame anyone but me that spilled a whole cup of water on my laptop after i got drunk home and didnt bother (or not even shouted with that circumstance) to double check my laptop, em..yeah, till next morning everything is too late. My kepboard was burned out and i had to find someone fix it for me. But glad im always with good spirits, so i bought a new one altho cost me a couple of hundreds and then i realized that i was treating my laptop so badly that i totally deserved that. Karma thing, this is it! thus im typing on my new keyboard promising that i would take good care of it from now on. Bar hopping, i've been there 3 or 4 years ago as i recalled, its awful/wonderful. so i did it again as if im not desperate enough, drinking became a gusto. I danced salsa at mural, they do have a great live band which constantly reminded me a lot of parties in macau. But then back to Mao, nothing surprising me, then head to Shelter again. We squeezed in shelter which smells like weed, with those partygoers drinking inexpensive alchol and also sweat like pigs. It wasnt that cool after you even took taquila shot, and then you started seeing things hazily, or talking in an extremely loud voice. but what the hell? every other one is as drunk as you were as its already 4am. so behave, giving each other a smile and heading home would be the best thing to do before you immorally straddling obligation turning to be a complete nut. surprisingly i found i could drink much more than before, not saying beer, no no coz bubbles are the last thing i would ask for, altho its delicious and affordable to many people. yet gin tonic and vodka, i geniunely like them especially lately the holiday made me possibly had a "liquor tour" around bars or parties. And thats how came i spilled the water on my laptop without even caring of it, so we are back to the karma thing, you know turn around you learn from what you did, because eventually what you did makes who you are. i did a meditation this afternoon, along with reading Pablo Neruda's love poems. Through every moment my breathing, I felt i was stronger and i am stronger now. Good spirits are coming to me, sent away the negative spirits, gosh i really enjoy reading. In any case, I'm going to keep on fighting for what i want. guess the holiday is over, its time to slow down the pace and putting more concentration on the real job. Also its Chong Yang Festival tomorrow, hoping everybody could send some love and greetings to the elders. Spread the love, i feel gratitude and joy out of it. background music: The Shortwave Set's <Harmonia>. 2008-08-28 Ashley no es perezosa. Es muy diligente.
find beauty in life, and it's fun! - i love Kate Bosworth's face when first time i saw her so i copied and kept the foto of her CK billboard (left one) in March 2008 from some celebrity gossip or fashion website which i already forgot. But then last week i found this huge CK billboard right in front of the building where i'm taking my spanish course now. - I was surprised, and it is a great surprise for me...so i took out of my camera, acting like a tourist, standing at the cross of Huaihai Rd with RuiJin Rd taking fotos while all other people were busy passying me by...feel so good! I had a very busy week, well its only thursday today but i was literally have no time to write an email or a blog....or make time for sleeping...I slept 4 or 5 hours per night, you know why? Because of my spanish course! Yes, I'm not kidding you! I'm taking it so seriously that I put all my energy into it now, and thank god i can do what i want and like to do right now while many other people are suffering from their works. My stomach is such a naughty guy, yeah i guess should be a "He" because when its getting naughty, he's very muscline..fuerte. Hate to take medicine, but i start to take pills today again... Had a dinner with Lucia last night, and I'm way too happy to have a friend that share all things. Incredible lovely mate, thank god again.. Gotta go do my homework now, chao. Besos, Ash... wow,...another busy day for me...so where should i start telling u... i took a spanish guy Celso for a one-day-tour yesterday, we went to Yu Garden, new heights, xintiandi, and had dinner at the kitchen salvatore cuomo. Coincidently saw Alan Herpburn in New heights and we said hello to each other, that was fun coz i didnt expect to meet anyone who worked with over 2 years ago. Today, was a busy day, I mean besides watching Dexter, and olympics Swimming games...Toni, Lucia and I went to Red town in Shanghai Sculpture Space for Andy Warhol's popart exhibition, then went to Kommune and headed to Bonito (also a type of tuna)mediterranean restaurant, then went to people seven, and at last we went to Velvet lounge in Casanova. It was a busy day...and so you know my life is all about spanish now...we met with Toni's two friends from Spain tonight, and it was fun too. I had problem with my "gas bag" stomach, so i didnt really drink any, but i started smoking...damn it. with 2 months' cut back, now i restart it. but anyways, i will try to eat healthy and keep in control. btw, love phelps....the genius swimmer, and he's so cute.... Background Music: Flobots' <Handlebars>. 2008-08-10 olympics opening ceremony, spanish corner, italian foods, english barYeah, i took those 2 pics today after i finished my first time spanish corner at 630 on huaihai road. I discovered the pink sky and i was so so surprised that i had to put my bread and bottle of tea into my bag, and couldnt wait to capture the moment. The lower moving clouds with higher pink ones, moving by different paces, but it was such a nice weather this evening and i'm glad i still have the love for this city. Well, i talked in spanish and learned some dirty words and erotic or xxx words, which is fun and yeah i had fun in that spanish corner. Then Toni called me and we made a date with Lucas and his galfriend too at Jimix. My stomach was keeping me busy all night when i was watching olympics opening ceremony last night, i made it till the end. So did my stomach, and i guess its because of the tomatos. Anyways, thats why it bothered me when i had to take my orders in an italian restaurant, in front of my favorite foods but i couldnt choose any pizza or pasta with tomatos. (what a loser) but anyway toni had same problem of his stomach so i wasnt just alone with the problem...made me feel much better. Lucas' beautiful galfriend Maria is really nice, and tonight once again i got encouragement from them - i shall go to spain! And now its pushing me more ane more everyday to go there. Since I came back, basically i dealt with shanghainese lousy weather, fucking mosquitos and then, todos habre espana. Also my pepsi, ustv series as always. Now it became more fun, because i have no job makes me plenty of time to do whatever i want. I went to library, exhibition, spanish corner, restaurant, bar for drink.....my life is never boring. I enjoyed my solo time too. I took a camera with me trying to capture the beauty from nature around me. I went to book shop picked one book and sat on the floor reading for 2 hours....I couldnt believe how lucky i am right now, do everything i wanna do ..especially with friends' encouragement, and god's blessing. Still waiting for Kim's back and also waiting for my intensive 15 weeks' battle! Ha, yeah i have to...fight and keep fighting. I looked into the mirror found my teeth are getting yellow then i realize my face is getting pale and pale everyday..damn...i need getting sun tan now. Background Music: Georgie James's <Cake Parade>. 2008-07-21 Live A Life, babe
So many things happened, oh my gosh! that i dont even know where to start...If you noticed that I havent written anything on this blog, yeah its because i was busy living a life here. I went to see <The Dark Knight> with Tonia, Marc and David. And the point is we went there at the very first day of the openning day. It was a great movie that I wanna see it again when i get back to china - luv the jocker that Heath ledger played, and I was crying for his great acting too. I do hope he gets an oscar nomination, he's such a wonderful person, such a talented actor and with good heart, but died so young..anyway, great script, very intriguing story that I didnt go to pee coz i felt i would miss something there. I luv this movie, so anybody sees this review, pls go to watch it, and it will blow your mind. I was staying with David, some more experiences here because i'm open up to experience everything new. I'm living at the moment now - because life is too short.:D (why do i smell like drugs, sex and foods?) David took me to his church this morning. It's called "The Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City", and it was so great that I felt completely peaceful mind and heart there. Its a big thing for me to do here, and most importantly is its a church for every kinds of believes - UU, open up to all different believes' people. Anyway, its about experience, not some thing i could describe here, but just let u know I felt my heart is extremely peaceful now. Another thing is about "Do you wanna leave" "Are you ready to leave" "Do you have to leave" such questions, making questions to talk to myself became a new thing. Try to talk to kids like talking to adults, and try to talk to adults like talking to kids. - David's way. Don't worry about your future, because the answer will come to you itself one day. At your age, its great you are willing to experience more and you dont have to worry too much. - Annie If you wanna change people's mind think about two stories - Dog bites u when u try to save it on the highway; Stupid dad was teaching kids that "patient never work for him" while other two people were showing being patient at same time. People are defensive about their "Thinks" "Believes", so try not make statement about "You think, you believe", if you wanna say something like that, try to put it in other ways. I will talk to my travel agent tonight and we will see what happens, and everybody have a nice week! Ciao~ Background Music: Lotus Seven's <De la Mancha>. 2008-07-15 I'm gonna be back NEXT WEEKMy last week in LA's coming up, so its sad. but I dont wanna show the sadness of me, pls listen to this podcast and u will know what i've got here except sad feelings now. Background Music: Sheryl Crow's <All I Wanna Do>. 2008-07-14 busy days...
shopping A LOT! Marshalls, Whole foods market, Nordstrom Rack...omg I almost dehydrated and died in those designers clothes and shoes...hate most of brands are manufactured in china such as BCBG, Ralph Lauren, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein...damn Marc by Marc Jacob's shoes are freaking uncomfy at all! Also its hard to find my size shoes, anyway, keep shopping~ The most popular yogurt shop in LA - menchie's, and I found my fav flavor there, called Pistachio. Put many kinds of toppings on it, and kept me wake till 4 am to sleep last night. So I figure its dangerous to take that much yogurt..ha:) went to Malibu beach after shopping, so its the 2nd time I went to Malibu beach - this time, the beach i went is called lagoon state beach - totally different from the westwood beach. This one is more close to nature, river, duck, sea gull, hike for a bit then its the beach. <Two and a half men> is filmed near this beach, Steve told me those houses along the beach are at least 20 million dollars, more expensive than those houses in beverly hills. Wowww~ Actually on the way back from westwood beach last time, I took some pics of this beach too...but just dont know its name. lol. Luv the beautiful weather. Funny thing is everyday i could see or hear fire trucks running over the streets. Hope there's less fire in LA. We went to a mexican restaurant called "Melody's" for dinner and it was just so so, chicken taco and flan...something like that. Then got home and totally stuffed, sent one pic to my mom and she luvs it, saying I'm grown up now....gosh...derrrr? of course. Next week - go shopping and try to keep myself busy. Background Music: The Burning Hell's <The Things That People Make>. 2008-07-09 I'm coming home soon..but i wish i could stay longer...
Go check out my new photo album - L.A. Part III. Talked to my mom, kim, lucia today and felt much better especially talking to steve. I probablly gotta come back very soon, before my birthday. - Making my to do and shopping list now...before leaving here, i gotta make couple of things done, such as go to see a movie and buy some books....thanks to Lucia's idea. besos I went to hollywood sign this afternoon, Annie took me there - She wanna me tell people that LA people are very nice to me, most people here love to help - great mentatlity. Above fotos: me @ david's party, @ lake hollywood, @ pinkberry Enjoy! Background Music: Fefe Dobson's <This Is My Life>. 2008-07-05 Happy July 4th!
Another busy day today - went to shopping at Marshalls with Annie, bought Juicy Couture hoodie, one dress and a cute top. Then Kim brought her two adopted Russian kids to swim in our pool. Later Annie wanna exchange one top she bought, drove all the way back to Burbank Empire Center and exchanged to another piece...then btw, I ate all day junk food today. Popeyes taste better than KFC, altho its almost same. Anyways, after papa john's barbeque pizza Kim and her kids came back to pick me up. We went to Universal Studio's City Walk, its on a mountain and we walked all the way there coz she needs excersise so anyway I was this close to get blisters on my feet....I made it, we didnt get on the free shuttle bus, just walked ...her two kids can keep up with her, quicker than I am...totally realize I'm getting old. So, I saw lots of asian faces people there, saw the fireworks which wasnt that beautiful..but anyhooo its July 4th, national holiday today! I wore a USA shirt for fun today, and follow up their tradition to see fireworks. Above pic, actually you may see two different were running fireworks there. I'm tired, gotta kiss my bed. Go to check out the photos, I luv kim's kids....unbelievable cute kids... Background Musik: Peter Bjorn And John's <Young Folks>. 2008-07-02 Melrose, Hollywood Blvd w/ David Roe
He's a professional clown, famous for his character Pipoca and his real name is David Roe. Annie and I met with him couple of weeks ago at an artshop, he's from NY and also new in LA too. Its very nice and lots of fun with him, coz you know, he knows how to keep you laughing. Well, we went to Melrose because Tonia said I would like it. I'm bad at sense of direction, but we still managed to navigator the right routine;p So we had a lunch at Johnny Rockets and I remembered Steve told me the Johnny Moo in shanghai totally copied their idea. And funny thing is I found it really is similar after I took a look at the menu. Anyway its great to dine over the street and I luv Melrose Ave. so I will defintely go there again~ After lunch, we went for different shops along Melrose, incl. Urban outfitters, Rainbow Sandals, Aaardvark's Odd Ark, etc., funny stuff and we made those places like a playground. Not really happy when I saw lots of stuff were made in china, coz I dont wanna bring anything back saying its made in china...so kinda sucks on shopping today (yes, also happened when I shopped in Hollywood Blvd). Then, we headed to Hollywood Blvd "The Walk of Fame" - a sidewalk along Hollywood Blvd and Vine Str. in Hollywood. Saw those pink stars with honored name on, kinda fun. And then saw lots of actions there, literally makes me feel like a tourist - souvenir shops, artists on the streets, wacky stuff such as sexy lingerie, pipes for smoking weeds, tattoo shops....and also some guy lifting a "Free Hugs" sign for hugs...well, lots of fun:) It was a busy day, sorry kinda tired cannot finish everything about what I saw and experienced, but I uploaded those pics in "L.A. Part II" photo album. Background Music: Lily Allen's <GWB (Fuck You Very Much)>. - This song is catchy and full of F-word, but just let you know GWB is George W. Bush. Its really not that hard to put that together, go figure urself~ HaHa~ 2008-06-14 Happy Father's Day!
Miss my voice? ha, its another shot today. So happy father's day to my dad and granpa this coming sunday, and hope you guys enjoy my podcast today. Background Music: Quitzow's <Better Than Ever>. 2008-06-09 Wassup tv stars!
Another two days just passed by, and again I have so many things to share with you..wow..too much. Alright, let me start with Jon Cryer, the guy from <Two And A Half Men> - the younger brother whos name in the character is Alan Harper. So I met this guy at my first run to a supermarket - Gelson's supermarket, his trypical ducky voice and his looking is exactly same from the show except he has not that much hair. (am i too mean? anyhoo, its true.) Okay pls let me go on with my pepsi, I went to that market bought my pepsi back, really just for 2 bottles, I'm trying to get rid of the pepsi-addiction. People there drink more healthier than I do, coz I hate those diet colas, but they have even 3 different types of diet pepsi cola. Well, I have to stick with the original one - not that heathy but tasty. Oh, I saw that tvstar, he was talking to some other people, and I walked by just like .5meter beside him. Ha~funny experience, although I didnt go ask for autograph or something. Steve told me that would be uncool if I took a photo with him, coz its in the market. But I guess if its outside of market will be fine, anyway I didnt bring my camera, so what the hell? Yah basically I saw a tv star and shopping like a normal people going to cook for dinner. And maybe I should go to that market more often, as Anne told me after that there are many tv starts go shoppin in that market. Btw, Coca cola still does not taste as good as pepsi here. Sorry for talking too much about my pepsi addiction here. Actually if you check my first pic above you can see a dog hidden there (and my pepsi :P). Her name is Sammy and she's 9 - old dog already, she's steve's daughter Erica's. She's a pretty good gal, and right now when I'm typing the blog, she's lying down behind my chair in our workspace. I fed her the food and played with her in the backyard, also cleared her face for her...and plus I talked to her in Chinese which somehow shows I'm bored enough, but its funny, right? There are many flights every day, and I MEAN MANY flights and those planes sometimes woke me up before 7 a.m., which is maybe a good thing that i dont even need a alarm clock. I felt myself belong here coz I live in a perfect way that getting up at 7 and going to sleep at 11. My mom was surprised by that too. lol. So I should be moving to that house next Sunday. Hope everything works out for me before then. Alright, so I'm also planning to get a tossaway phone. Soon enough I'm gonna have my number~yeah~ Also, the summer is getting in and the weather is great here. I luv the weather here! My mom told me its the rainy season in Shanghai so I'm lucky that I could get out of it this year - oh, in return I got my first mosquito lump this morning when I was playing with Sammy in the backyard. But all in all, I luv sunshine even though with mosquitoes. I went to the Westfield Fashion Square today, just for two hours. It is a place for local people to do shopping, dining, and leisuring stuff. All the shops are running the discounts for Father's day which is next Sunday. So I actually didnt finish looking everything there, because it's already 2p.m. that I hadnt even have lunch, so Steve picked me up at 2 and we headed home. So, that is also a great shopping place within Bloomingdales and Macy's stores. Just let you know I will be back very soon, coz today I only bought some body care stuff and hallmark card. When I headed home I saw theres a newspaper package delivered, and I'm telling ya the newspaper are really heavy as hell. It might only cost 1.5 dollars but really worth it, and I just browsed some advertisements like Walgreens, Macy's, best buy...basically they put everything in that Sunday newspaper. Also the Los Angeles Times, and so much more I will later to read it. Just noted that LA film festival is coming, and ticket for each movie should be like 12 - 15 dollars. I will check my schedule and try to make a time to go. Alright, I always talk that much, wonder if I really should get started with a podcast...ummm...any idea? Background Music: Coldplay's <Viva La Vida>. 2008-06-07 Life is going on
Que pasa? Well, its only the 4th day here but I've already got bunch of stories and things to share with you guys. I know, I might be acting like an overexcited tourist, but really so many things for me to see. Just so many, man! I'm a lucky gal that my boss's wife Anne is so great that I totally had a blast with her. She's older than Steve, 63 years old but acting like 23. Can you believe that? She could hook me up with some cute guys within 5 mins and did it natually and gracefully. She looks young, talks with spirits, and acts like a teenage...cant say enough about her, and she watched so you think you can dance too! What can i say, she probably is the first friend I got here, and she's so cool that she works a lot and still be able to have fun. Crazy lady, of course in a good way, that's the spirits I'm always looking for and trying to be one. I just hope all my gals in shanghai and me will be like her when we get old. Oooh, things like that you dont see everyday, but thank god I'm living with that kinda of people, wow, I'm overwhelmed and content. So talking about the life here, I woke up at around 8:30 in the morning and take shower go drink my milk to start a day. Then working in the workspace do those jobs till the 12:30, go out have quick run to different shops/dry cleaner/jewlery shops/ups/staples then buy fast food and drive home to eat. Then usually do some works and go out for some other runs like go to Cosco to buy Salmon, yesterday we went to pick up Anne. Then go home they cook the dinner, I check out my mail to look for my roommates online. Also take a rest then go have dinner, and after dinner, woohoo, meet with the cute guys - Anne brought me with her to the yoghourt shop where is very popular for young people to hang out. Then Anne got those yoghourt for free by her great charisma, happily drove home to watch so you think you can dance. That show was from 8 to 10, so I watched on my bed eating the yoghourt and btw Anne got me those 2 cute guys' phone number - c.r.a.z.y! I know, I know, its unbelievable, she's like a wingman, and always got the cutiest guys. She took my breath away yesterday, and I'm speechless:) We went to Sherman Oaks, Studio City they showed me the places that with 24 theatres on just one street. And they show me that young people are all carrying a bottle of water on hand same as I'm doing. They also showed me those villas on the hollywood hills, btw that huge hollywood sign is right back of the hill that facing us. So I will see it once we run over the hills :D yeah, I will see it soon. Later today I will go to the Macy's with Steve, because pretty sure Anne left him some "assignment" that we have to follow with. Anyways, the life here is quite cool. Weather forecast always showing 17-23 degree celsius, but boy dont trust it, under the sun - it's really hot! And those signs along the road, they are amazing, next time I shall put some pics here so you will know why I'm being so excited. I talked with my mom this morning, telling her that I dont feel I'm short here. Those Mexican or asian people they are actually shorter than I am and there are many species of people living in L.A. Well, it's good I'm suddenly tall. lol. Trees flowers plants, they are all over the place, same as cars. You know what? It is very hard everytime for Steve or Anne to find a parking lot. It's all real that for status, people start buying bigger cars like truck size now and its so expensive for the gas. Today its 4.55dollars, we will see how much more its gonna rise when I leave the states. Oh and maybe tomorrow I will go to check out one apartment, will let you guys know the result. God bless me, send me some responsible, nice sweet roommates like me. - No drugs and party house please! Yah, thats it for now. I will write more later, hope you guys wont feel boring reading my blog. Hey, just uploading the fotos above, when you see the skywriters, it only says "TORI&" But actually 10 minutes later it bacame "TORI&FAN". So that is how crazy people here in california. And also a pic of Ann and me, we asked a vietnamian lady who did the manicure for Ann at beauty shop, to took it for both of us. Ann is so great, that she's like a sunshine and I get burnt around her...with that much energy, everybody thinks she's like 23! :D Btw, we met another cute guy today, who is a clown...gosh, he just came from NY and we are about to hangout next week.
